Guide to the EPAPS Document Numbering Scheme

Please note that the following sample of the EPAPS Document Numbering Scheme for an electronic file uses The Journal of Chemical Physics as a model:

E-JCPSA6-121-508446

where

E denotes electronic deposit
JCPSA6 denotes the journal's CODEN
121 denotes scheduled volume number
508446 denotes AIP production code number (or AIP ID)

The following example shows how a typical EPAPS deposit would be referenced:

See EPAPS Document No. E-JCPSA6-121-508446 for supplementary tables. For more information on EPAPS see http://www.aip.org/pubservs/epaps.html.

Note that the EPAPS Document Number is mapped to an FTP subdirectory (under the primary journal directory) with the same identifiers (hyphens replaced by underscores) as the original number. A guide to the FTP directory structure is available.
