Marketing Manager — NY

DUTIES:
Manage marketing efforts to promote AIP journals, conference proceedings, and other products and services to all customers including corporations, academic libraries, and other institutional and individual customers. Work closely with editorial and product managers to develop marketing and sales programs for our products and services. Design marketing efforts to gain new customers, maintain subscription base, and publicize AIP publishing activities and services. Regularly review and analyze AIP subscription data, determine trends, and provide detailed reports and analyses for management review. Oversee Exhibits strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree required. Five years experience as a marketing manager in a publishing environment (sci/tech preferred), or equivalent. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers at all levels. Strong written communication skills. Experience writing and editing copy for internal and external reports and promotions. Excellent knowledge of Excel and report design for use in providing data analysis. Strong understanding of database design as it relates to storing, tracking, retrieving, and analysis of subscription data. Strong attention to detail and ability to plan and follow through with clients to ensure satisfaction. Experience with electronic products and licensing preferred.
